Employees of Green Line’s Offshore & Marine Department conducted an on-site meeting on Sakhalin Island with contractors for the "Sakhalin-1" and "Sakhalin-2" projects."Sakhalin-1" is an oil and gas project on Sakhalin Island managed by the Russian company "Sakhalinmorneftegaz-Shelf." The project involves the development of oil and gas reserves on the northeastern shelf of the island."Sakhalin-2" is a project aimed at developing the Piltun-Astokh oil field and the Lunskoye gas condensate field in the Sea of Okhotsk, located on the shelf off Sakhalin Island in Russia’s Far East. The project has been implemented since 1994 under a production-sharing agreement. In 2022, approximately 60% of the produced liquefied natural gas was destined for Japan.During the visit, the parties outlined the directions for developing contractual relationships between the project contractors and Green Line Offshore & Marine in the areas of environmental protection and import substitution. Both sides expressed interest in long-term cooperation.
