Land-Based Technician-Mechanic

What you will be doing:

This position, based in our Mechanical Solutions division, involves the operation and servicing of underwater cutting, dredging, and cleaning equipment. You will work at our workshop in Saint Petersburg, where you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of high-quality tools and equipment.

From time to time, you will travel to client locations to prepare equipment for mobilization or dismantling, as well as conduct introductory training sessions for third-party organizations. Additionally, your responsibilities may include other training activities.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Safe operation of all equipment at the workplace, adherence to QHSE rules and procedures in the field of mechanical solutions.
• Identifying potential hazards in the workplace, considering the surrounding environment and prevailing weather conditions, and liaising with QHSE to assist in investigations and reporting of failures, NCR, and OFI.
• Communicating with the client’s onshore representative regarding task planning, organization, and execution.
• Participating in toolbox talks and work review meetings before and after project completion, ensuring risk assessments are completed, analyzed, and corrective actions are taken based on non-conformance reports and client complaints.
• Timely completion of all necessary documentation for completed work, including but not limited to maintenance reports, project reports, work logs, timesheets, expenses, client satisfaction feedback, damage reports, and preventive actions.

What experience will you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• Proven experience in high-quality repairs, maintenance, and testing in a workshop environment, as well as underwater work at sea and onshore, including IRM and decommissioning.
• Experience working with underwater cutting, dredging, and cleaning tools, with preference for work involving abrasive materials.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• A team player with a hands-on approach and a willingness to contribute.
